How to delete your personal data from Bubupo
Your Right to Data Deletion
At Bubupo, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your data at any time through the following methods.
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Delete Uploaded Photos
- Open the Bubupo app
- Navigate to the "My" tab (bottom right)
- Tap "Photos & Privacy"
- You will see all uploaded photos. Tap to select and delete individual photos.
- Photos are permanently deleted from our servers within 48 hours.
Delete Account and All Data
- Open the Bubupo app
- Navigate to the "My" tab
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Sign Out"
- Uninstall the app from your device
- Send a deletion request via email (see below) to permanently purge all server-side data.
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your guest account identifier (found in App Settings or your order confirmation)
- Any order numbers you wish to reference
- A clear statement requesting deletion of your personal data
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm completion via email.
What Data Will Be Deleted
- All uploaded photos and generated preview images
- Your chat history with the AI advisor
- Your profile information (nickname, phone number)
- Shipping addresses associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
Per legal requirements, we may retain:
- Order records (without photos) for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years)
- Anonymized usage statistics that cannot be linked to your identity
Timeline
- Photo deletion (in-app): Within 48 hours
- Account data purge (email request): Within 30 days
- Confirmation: You will receive email confirmation once deletion is complete
